After a winter working on new music in our basement, we’re really excited about playing out again and sharing our new songs with you. Go to our ‘Live‘ page for details.
Live performance of ‘Golden Boy’ in our basement. This is one of the first songs we wrote together in 2016 but we never settled on an arrangement that we were happy with until now. We’ve been really enjoying playing the song live and we’re excited about finally recording it.
‘Electric State’ started with us jamming on a crunchy bass riff inspired by Joy Division and Placebo. Alex’s lyrics are inspired by Simon Stålenhag’s illustrated science fiction novel about a teen girl and her robot who embark on a cross-country mission through a strange dystopian landscape. It’s a haunting and beautiful masterpiece that we both found really inspiring and we really hope that the upcoming movie is true to the eerie beauty of the book.
We entered our video for ‘Call The Night In’ for the NPR Music Tiny Desk contest. Watch the full video below and don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more new songs and videos coming soon.
Live performance of ‘South of Obsession’ in our basement. We just wrote this song at the weekend. It’s probably going to evolve when we start playing it live but we thought we’d give you a preview.
Little Tiger had the opportunity to kick off Pride month in the most extraordinary way, by being asked to collaborate with Central Vally Pride on their third annual Pride flag raising in the city of Merced, California. (If you’re not already supporting this awesome organization, go check them out-they are doing powerful work in California’s Central Valley.) It was pure joy to close out this evening of celebration with our music, which opened with speakers from the local Native American community, followed by youth leaders, activists, and local and state leadership, as well as other musical performances. It has been a brutal year for the LGBTQIA2S+ community, particularly trans folks, but nights like this fill our cups to the brim with energy and hope for a brighter future. Happy Pride!
